OAC Honors Kyle, Sheldon-Badore, Puhl, Beaumont, Vicari

October 28, 2012 — At the awards dinner closing the inaugural Obesity Action Coalition Convention, Chairman Pam Davis presented awards to a handful of OAC members for distinguished service to the organization:
  • Ted Kyle, Member of the Year
  • Beth Sheldon-Badore, Advocate of the Year
  • Rebecca Puhl, Bias Buster of the Year
  • Tammy Beaumont, Community Leader of the Year
  • Michelle Vicari, Outstanding Membership Recruitment

Kyle, who received OAC’s highest honor, Member of the Year, praised the OAC, saying, “OAC is changing the dynamic toward progress against obesity. The staff and members are truly amazing. Belonging and serving is a privilege. And when we meet the obesity challenge, the greatest to our health for this century, it will be OAC that makes the difference.
