The Obesity Society (TOS)

TOS is the leading scientific society dedicated to the study of obesity. Since 1982, the Obesity Society has been committed to encouraging research on the causes and treatment of obesity, and to keeping the medical community and public informed of new advances.

The Obesity Action Coalition (OAC)

OAC is dedicated to giving a voice to those affected by obesity. The mission of the OAC is to elevate and empower those affected by obesity through education, advocacy, and support.

The STOP Obesity Alliance

The STOP Obesity Alliance fosters change in society’s perceptions of, and approaches to, preventing and treating obesity in the context of the real-world environment in which we live.


Building Healthier America (BHA)

BHA works to build a sustainable national culture of healthy behavior requiring change in individual (consumer) behavior and at the community level. BHA is dedicated to Consumer Awakening and Community Empowerment to reverse the obesity trends facing children, families, and communities.


National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA)

NEDA is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. NEDA campaigns for prevention, improved access to quality treatment, and increased research funding to better understand and treat eating disorders.


Reality Coalition

Reality Coalition is a nonprofit group of experts on obesity, nutrition, diabetes and healthcare policy who share the common goal of advancing realistic approaches to weight loss.
