Rolling Advocacy Days: The Obesity Society Leadership Engages with Policy Makers

Washington, DC. – The Obesity Society’s (TOS) Rolling Advocacy Days Initiative.  TOS leadership and Advocacy Task Force members Dr. Robert Kushner, Dr. Caroline Apovian, and Ted Kyle participated in the first of TOS’ "rolling advocacy days."  This new advocacy effort will work to establish TOS as the primary resource for Congress on research issues related to prevention and treatment of obesity.   The TOS representatives met with Congressional staff on Capitol Hill and educated them about TOS’s strong support of HR 5209, Representative Ron Kind’s Healthy CHOICES Act.
