Ted Kyle Honored with the Atkinson-Stern Award from The Obesity Society

September 23, 2012 — In recognition of his outstanding public service in the field of obesity, healthcare advocate Ted Kyle was honored with the Atkinson-Stern Award by The Obesity Society this evening. The award was presented on the opening night of the TOS annual scientific meeting, held this year in San Antonio. Kyle was singled out by the Society for his pro bono work pushing for new treatments and ways to prevent obesity. According to Pat O’Neil, president of The Obesity Society, "Ted has been a tireless, articulate and effective advocate for people with obesity for many years." Previous winners of the Atkinson-Stern Award include President Bill Clinton and USA Today journalist Nanci Hellmich.
