Keep It Thankful Three Ways
Perhaps you have a perfect family and staying thankful all through Thanksgiving is easy. Or maybe you have some unpolished gems at the table today. Regardless, we’re thankful for the growing numbers of you who keep reading what we offer up here.
In gratitude, we offer these three ideas that might help you keep the thanks in Thanksgiving:
- Talk about everything but obesity. Seriously, the only interest that most people have in obesity, along with diet and exercise, is to use it as a club for whacking other people. And since you know so much, you’d just have to tell them they’re all wrong. That’s no fun.
- Listen more than you talk. Even in the hardest situations, it always works to wind up someone else to talk about their favorite subject (unless that’s obesity, diet, and exercise; see #1).
- Enjoy the food you like. If Aunt Camilla suggests that you eat something revolting, you can thank her and move on. Just take your time enjoying the food you like and the hilarious things everyone else is saying.
So enjoy the day and collect some funny stories. Feel free to share them.
