FDA Is Removing Trans Fats from Nutrition Facts Labeling

Note: Thanks to all who read and shared this, our 2025 April Fools’ post. For those who might have thought HHS is really doing this, give it time. They might do it yet.

Striking another blow to defeat “wokeness” in every nook and cranny of American life, the FDA is removing the mandate for “trans” fats on Nutrition Facts labeling. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said this is part of the president’s agenda to restore sanity and protect women from what the administration calls the trans agenda:

“The president has made it incredibly clear that it is the policy of this administration that there are only two genders, male and female.”

So common sense tells us, said an FDA spokesperson, that we only need two lines for fat in Nutrition Facts – total fat and saturated fat. It’s just like gender – two options are the limit.

The Beef Tallow Connection

It gets better, though. This move actually gives the administration something of a two-for-one deal. Not only can they crow about stamping out one more vestige of “transgenderism,” but it also fits neatly with the imperative of RFK Jr to Make American Fries Healthy Again (MAFHA).

This alignment is especially important because it turns out that fries made with beef tallow contain more trans fats than those made without it. A regular order of beef tallow fries at Steak ’n Shake has a gram of the supposedly dangerous stuff. In contrast, a medium order of fries without the beef tallow at McDonald’s has zero trans fat.

So obviously, the trans fat line had to go. Otherwise it could get in the way of promoting fries for Steak ’n Shake. Pesky Nutrition Facts will never stand in the way of MAFHA for the courageous leadership of the newly shrunken FDA.

Next up: striking all mentions of trans fat from the National Library of Medicine.

Somehow, it seems April first was the perfect day for this announcement. But if you’re one of those annoying sticklers for facts, click here for more on trans fat research.
